Todays link is to "the jargon file".
..."a comprehensive compendium of hacker slang illuminating many aspects of hackish tradition, folklore, and humor."
Very useful for finding out what your geeky friends are talikng about, or just random browsing (have a look for magic smoke).

If you don't know BIFF from BOFH then this is the place for you.
(Ooh, that gives me an idea for tomorow.)

Route planning, by rail or by road.

Rail: National Rail.
Hmm, well it's not quite as good as the old one on the railtrack website (which was just shut down), but it is updated daily as opposed to fortnightly.

Road: There are many online route planners.
The one I use is MapBlast.
It's really the first I started using and I haven't felt the need to use any others. It gives you the route in a massive amount of details. You can put in the postcode or street address and town (In which case it generates the postcode (Which the Royal Mail won't let you do without registering!)). You can; add stops, find the shortest or quickest route, see it in miles or kilometres, etc.
Be warned it doesn't take congestion into account.

p.s. If you use another one, put it in the comments.

Thursdays webcomic
Okay, I was going to list them in the order that I started reading them, but this plot changed my mind.
Kung Fool.
"A behind the scenes look at the making of a cheesy TV show "Kung Fool!""

In the current story line, Wil Wheaton, has been kidnapped by 2 of the characters with a taser. I don't know why but I think it's hilarious.

Updated a couple of times a week. You may have noticed this is one of the places I get links from (Like this list of nicknames for, um, a, um, `bearded ax wound`).
