Modding Mozilla

The nice thing about open source (with a liberal license) is that people can change it any way they want. Here are two examples.

Pornzilla. A bunch of extensions and bookmarklets that will add features to firefox, aimed at porn surfers.

Ghostzilla the stealth browser. Someone has taken the Mozilla 1.0 code, modified it, and added some stuff of his own, to create the ultimate skiving tool. It hides over the window of your current application, can make everything grey, and disappear and reappear with a flick of the mouse.
Currently only the program and the modified Mozilla code are available, but the author has said that he will release the rest soon.

Avoid using Internet Explorer.
Avoid using Internet Explorer.

There are unpatched bugs that are being exploited on the internet now. You could get a virus just by viewing an ebay page.

Get Firefox

There's a nifty version of firefox for usb flash drives. Keep all your settings with you at work, at home, on your travels, etc.

Reading about Hacking template tags inspired me to sort out my archives links better. There is now have a reversed order archive menu in my sidebar. Including my own feature, A random archive page selector, for if you're board.
Just add "
var rand=Math.floor(Math.random()*archives.length)
document.write('<a href=\"' + archives[rand][0] + '\">Random</a>');
" to the reversing javascript.
