Groklaw is site that was started by a legal researcher doing what she does best, researching legal cases. She was originally just going to be writing a blog explaining legal stories in more depth. However shortly after she started SCO claimed that it owns part of the code in the Linux, refused to say which lines of code they were and started suing several large companies. They insisted that anyone who uses Linux, must buy a liscence from them, or better yet their brand of Unix. Groklaw began documenting these cases in great depth, posting all the legal documents and proof that many of things SCO were saying, were lies to spread FUD.
read more about the onging battles here, here, and here.

[edit]I almost forgot this photo from a trade fair, that seems to pretty much sum up what has happened to the two main companies involved

One for the geeks and a game.

Where do you lie on The Geek Hierarchy".
As a "Pokemon fan over the age of 6" I'm pretty damn geeky

An inverted catenary road, for a bike with square wheels.
yep, damn geeky

Today's game is Lemmings remade in Dynamic HTML, so you can play in in your browser.
The orignal was removed for copyright reasons, but ironically someone has made a copy.

Linkdump

Did you know that you can kill yourself with a measly 9volt battery?

Jarrett’s photoshop Blood Tutorial.

6 pound hamburger.

Movies in 30 seconds, reenacted by bunnies.

Digital paper almost a reality.

These were all from overcaffeinated linkdump this week (added to the bottom of my bookmarks).

I first ran across this site because of the comic, which he promptly stopped updating (ah well it's not the first time that's happened to me).
