If you want to try out Linux without repartitioning/reformatting your hard drive then you need a Linux Live CD, like Knoppix.
It is a Debian distribution of Linux that will boot off of CD and run from memory without touching your hard drive.

Downloading the CD via my 56k modem would have taken forever, so I went to Gmailswap and swapped one of my Gmail invites for someone in America downloading and burning Knoppix to CD, and posting it to me within a week.

Oh happy day! Not only is there going to be a Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Movie there is going to be two new series of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy radio show, featuring the late Douglas Adams voice, and much of the original cast too. Woohoo!

Of course being H2G2 neither of these two versions are completely compatible with each other, or indeed the TV series, books, or original radio series.

In other news I have finished my Site Update Information Trackers.
You can create either a website, or an RSS 2.0 feed, that lists the updates times of other websites, to save you the time and effort.
Drop me a line and let me know what you think of it.
