Todays link Tattooed Nerds.

I'd also like to wish a Happy system administrator appreciation day to Simon, who not only provides me with hosting, email and a shell, but has kept the miscers in contact with his mailing lists. Thanks Simon.

Read the ongoing saga of an Ebay Scammer who soen't know when to quit. Some of his emails are fantastic. Such as claiming that his father is the one who stole all this money and has been using his email and the real Sal Wise omly types in italics. What's even better is that Sal seems to be joining in the discussion board.

At the moment it looks like justin's having some bandwidth issues, so pages are taking a while to load.

Preparing For Emergencies is a great site.

It's obviously a parody of the Governments £8 million pound Evian advert common sense information pamphlet

The government are "very concerned that the material on [this] site will confuse people" and as the uk home of International Talk Like A Pirate Day I'm not surprised. Unless they're talking about that parody thing.

[edit]Well it was hosted on thomasscotts site last night. He seems to have passed it on to another b3tan today.

Free (0845 local rate) ISP with no sign up.
Just set your computer to dial 08451 121212 and put in any username and password. Useful for when you want to look up your regular ISP's settings, if you lose them, or if you're travelling and have an account tied to your home phone line.

Free Windows software with no nags.
I 've run across this site every now and then for years it's a really useful place to find stuff.

This time I was looking for Free antivirus software. A quick search through the newsgroup archive seems to suggest that AVG is slightly better than AntiVir or Avast!
